Pedalboards - any recommendations?

I switched from a two row pedaltrain classic about 5-6 years ago to a singlerow minimalist setup with just three pedals but I’m bringing a BOSS MS-3 into my rig and really could benefit from having the second row. Any recommendations? Not interested in the pay $400+ for a fancy one done by _________ option

Doing some research I’ve been intrigued by the Holeyboards 123 setup (probably would stick with a 1 & 3) but kind of skeptical about it due to how there seems to be no one online talking about them and also not digging how they don’t come with any sort of case option outside of some tote bag looking thing they sell on their site for $175. Is pedal train still the go to for the balance between quality and price? Anything else I should look into?

I really like Temple Audio boards. There are boards for one, two or three rows in various widths. They sell mounting plates that stick to the bottom of your pedals and attach to the board with a screw, but I just use those holes to zip tie my pedals down. There are also spots on each end of the board where you can add modules for power, 1/4" TS/TRS pass through, MIDI, USB etc. Temple sells their own modules but they use a standardized shape so you aren't limited to their stuff.

I second the Temple Audio stuff. I’ve got a Trio 28. We’ll built rugged boards. I know of two other (gigging) RT members who use their boards.

I have used Temple Audio for the last 4 years or so, really like them. I don't use the plates, I used tie-wraps instead and like that much better.

Here is a pic of my Duo. I also have a Trio that I used for a while trying to make a massive pedalboard, but just limited down to the pedals on the Duo was enough.

I’m using this little guy for my M3 rig. I run it out to 2 clean amps. It’s a great stereo setup that weighs almost nothing and it is very versatile.

All three of my boards are PTs: older PT3 w/hsc, PT Classic 1 w/hsc and a PT Jr w/gigbag. Never saw a reason to change.

I swapped from a classic to a mini and then upped it to metro and dug all three. The only bad thing I can say about pedaltrain is the old style bag I had for the mini fell apart after around a year but the boards themselves are top notch. I might try and snag a classic or junior off of craigslist if one pops up

What pedalboard Brand/model is that? Also is that a Bright Onion momentary switcher? I’m bummed no one stateside is making a momentary switcher in that style enclosure

Yeah Bright Onion. I use the little guy for level boost and the other (made to match MS3 exactly) is for bank up/bank down. No big deal they are in UK, just order and it was delivered to my door.

Great little board this one. Voodoo Labs p/s fits underneath. Carry bag is solid with good zips. Only downside is no full sized wah- but they make a side extension to bolt on if u must have a full sized wah or Vol pedal. For me, I think the mini crybaby sounds great.

I've got a fairly large Trailer Trash pedalboard w/case that I've never used. I don't even remember where it came from? I tried to sell it at a garage sale, but no one wanted it. Every question was the same... "What's that for?"

Trailer Trash? No way! There are times when that's exactly what you need.

Built my own pedalboard today on a whim, it took about an hour all together. My old board was ok and I could've used the GCX to switch the last two effects, boost pedals, one for the Rectifier only and one for lead boost in the loop. I mounted the power supply underneath and ran the cables from below. I also bought a $30 4 channel 20 foot long snake so it will be easier to set up. It all fits into a padde suitcase. The blank spot between the delay and wah is for the tuner. When I unzipped the suitcase, there was a set of rubber feet from an old amp I parted out so I used those.

Investment = $0.00.

I need 2 or 3 boards. A large, small and one to use with my rack.

I picked up a used VooDoo PX-8 board with power supply for a decent price and absolutely love the dedicated loops for each pedal. It sounds so clean not running the signal through the entire chain of effects. You can use it to simply loop the individual pedal in out out of the chain - or you can create and save specific presets of specific combinations of effects. It’s a really nice way to run pedals.

I also have a VooDoo ‘small’ board with mini versions of my effects that I can haul to rehearsals and small gigs.
