Pedals based on SD-1?

Out of all the Overdrives i've used my old Maxon OD808 is the one that I always go back to, it's just the perfect sounding boost IMO. I've got a SD-1 as well, but I find it shaves off a little too much low end for my tastes... still a good pedal though.
The OD808/SD-1 clipping switch is on my SRB pedal and while it's really really close I kept my Maxon Reissue OD808 around because I just really liked it alot. So much so after I sold my first Maxon OD808 I replaced it with another because I missed having it around, it was just different enough in a really good way.......

Isn't the Duncan 805 Overdrive based on the SD1 or something, but with eq knobs?

you're half right ....... the 805 is basically a 808 with a tone stack driven by transistors ( I've built a few clones ... very cool OD ) .... and just so everyone knows ..... theres literally 3 or 4 parts more in a Sd-1 than in a early 808 ...... what separates them the most is the Gain pot value .... and symmetrical / asymmetrical clipping other than that they are almost identical .... with values of components ...

Yeah, as mentioned, it is more of an 808 with a 3 band active EQ in place of the traditional EQ. It also has more clipping diodes, so it doesn't clip as hard as an 808.
