For some of us that don't bang supermodels and count gold, I think the BE-100 pedal is a good alternative to having a BE-100 but no way it is going to sound like the amp. I will say that clips I've heard thru a nice clean Fender, etc. combo seems to be the best setup.

I'd like to hear it this way as well, I'd rather carry a combo and a few pedals instead of a half stack.

Not a bad demo I guess. Even with Pete, being all Emo and all.

I bet it wont sound like that when I plug into it.
Exactly. Pete really does make most decent pedals sound great.

With most OD and distortion pedals, the overall tone is important, but, just as important - the tone controls. The BE pedal has a cool Tight knob, which should help keep it from being flubby. It also has a Presence knob, helping to adjust the high end. So, it may sound similar to an Angry Charlie, or Marshall Guvnor - but with cool tone shaping ability, and a gain lowering pot inside - seems to be pretty versatile to me!

Most of all guys it feels like a amp.. It's very versatile with the tone controls and seems to sound good into anything. The pedal can be a full distortion having more gain then my HBE channel, or with my internal gain trim knob it could be just a light gain boost. Sounds good into the shittiest amp ever, we have tried quit a few. Thanks

My name finally came up on the Analogman KOT waiting list. I had one before and sold it as it was not my cup of tea at the time. I was going to order another but I think I want to try the Friedman pedal first. The KOT is low gain which I struggle with and the Friedman is got a lot of gain and more of a distortion pedal which I struggle with.

Just watched it. Wow. Sounds totally awesome. But I'd have to hear it in person and preferably through a cheap-mid level clean amp before I decided I had to have one. I'm pretty happy with my Carl Martin Plexitone pedal and still barely use it. Got a Friedman Smallbox two weeks ago, so not sure what use I'd have for the BE pedal. Though, as always, Pete makes it sound amazing. He's just ridiculously good, almost too good for doing product demos that mere mortals will be disappointed in when they try it at home.
Send Pete message and ask him to do that. I am sure he would he is a great guy.

Awesome! When will these be out Dave??

I can only find "pre-order".

I'll wait for more circulation.

Dave I know of course I`ll need to expierment on my own but if you were gonna use the pedal as light gain boost where about would you set the gain trim knob ?

Great demo Pete!! Not surprising, yet great use of looper, love that idea.

Also, I appreciate you chiming in Dave. It's always good to hear what your thoughts are and what you intend the pedal to be capable of.
Very simply, the pedal sounds EXCELLENT. No debate there...

Big positive, Pete mentioned fly gigs, I can see this as an important part of the traveling toolbox. You just never know what's gonna be sitting there when you show up, but with this pedal, it may not matter as much. Which is a bit reassuring to me anyway. Even as a back-up for ANY head or modeler...small, easy, sounds killer = no brainer.

Either way, take me money...LMAO

Yes, I noticed the hairstyle change. With the breakthroughs in gender unification during the last year especially, I am very happy for him that he is coming out like this. Good for you Peter.

I'm just saying' he should have read the fine print on that Supercuts coupon...

Pete's NOT gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) - he just has a George McFly haircut!

Sounds great. Would love to play a runt too. Glad there is stuff coming out for us poorer folk.

These high gain distortion pedals sound great at home but NEVER work live for me.
Mid to low gain OD pedals rarely sound great at low home volumes but turn to magic when gigging.
