I would also suggest the Fishman Fluence Classics. In the bridge, Voice 1 is sorta like a Duncan '59 Bridge and Voice 2 is sorta like a Duncan JB, except just better on both voices, IMO. Clearer and more refined.

I Have a Les Paul that is a little too tight or Anemic in the Low End.....what pickup would you guys suggest to fix that? I'm normally an active guy but willing to switch back to passives.

I think my answer for an LP pickup will always be the Aldrich.

I’m about the yank the EMG’s out of my Edwards LPC and replace them with Aldrich’s. I think….anyway…

Black belt, second degree black belt, the steckel Duncan sig model, don’t listen to steckels demo as he uses ABSURD amounts of gain smothering his sound. It’s a great pickup for a single cut. Fat, clear, defined and tight. Similar to the MCP black belts and 2nd BB.

Btw, is there anything around with the mids of a custom custom but less smooth?

I have a Duncan JB bridge in my Les Paul custom. I kinda hate it. Really boxy sounding. Looking for a little bit higher mid clarity and punch. I was looking at Suhr Aldrich. Any suggestions?
The SH16 59/Custom hybrid is a really great mid output pup with great clarity and punch.
For a more hot PAF the Dimarzio Fortitude has a great punch and smoky low end, maybe not the most defined tone but it’s got a ton of charm and hits like a hammer.

Damn!!! They’re going in a black LPC with gold hardware, I’ve been missing the gold covers which is spurring the change.
