Pickup suggestions for Mahogany

I have a PRS SE24 that's been in the closet for awhile. I didn't like the original bridge pickup so I changed with a SD78.
Not happy with that either. I play classic to metal. Its a mahogany body with maple neck and rosewood fretboard.
A JB? I have those in multiple guitars with alder bodies and love it.
Need something not so dark.

I've found each guitar likes different pups.
Like my SG, for instance. Tried several before a Motor City Detroiter was the one, just perfection in that guitar.
Godwoods sounded great in my Explorer (which is a darker guitar), ok in my Silverburst LP, and really good in my LP Classic (which seems to do best with slightly hotter PAF types like the ToneNerds that are in it now).

Besides something not so dark, what else would you like compared to what you've tried in the SE24?

I had them over the years but didn’t really care about them that much. Then I ordered one of those 24v kits and was really impressed with it. My Sykes with emg’s is my favorite guitar by far….
Hey! I have a new Soloist with EMG 85/81 set. Been thinking about disconnecting the mostly useless tone knob, hopefully opening up the sound a bit. What does the 24v kit do? Not that it's muddy, but more openess and clarity would be good.

Personally don't understand the hype with the Duncan Distortion.
Got two guitars recently with them, and kind of let down tbh.
What are you running it through?
I have one in an sg.
Another in a headless I have.
Both mahogany body, and amazing...to me.

I get full chord clarity and punch, clear precise bass, without flub.

I run through a Laney IRT120, into multiple 2x12 cabs, with varying speakers.

They are all I will ever use. For the money, it is always my go to. Just does everything I need. Every genre, any gain.

I don’t chug but I’ve been all over the DiMarzio Norton for about a year now. Just swapped a Wolfetone out of a Kauer Banshee and have zero regrets. Great grind with plenty of high end/cut. Or Godwood if you have the cheddar.

That's what it sounded/felt like to me, more headroom.

I've liked duncan distortion in stock mahogany body/maple neck guitars I've owned, but like someone else mentioned, it's more specific to the actual guitar IMO.

Seymour duncan custom/59 is best mahogany pickup nonbotique. It has a great voicing and cleans up nice with the volume. But it can push an amp to a good place
The Custom is pretty honky—in the wrong guitar it can be too much IME
