This Ibanez Roadstar II.

Bought it for a good price to resell. Did not expect it to feel so amazing. Thought it looked crazy familiar and then I looked up the history on the AZ line.... And this is what it's based off of pretty much.

Made in Japan and feels like Ibby's attempt at a super strat. The neck feels closer to that sweet vintage fender with a slight tweak. Did not expect this thing to shred like it does.

Money is tight tho, so I'd expect to see it listed soon.

What a beauty! I was so close to pulling the trigger on one of these but an vintage honey burst standard popped up in Houston on Reverb for under $600 so on a whim I grabbed it instead to avoid Japan shipping. It is full of the serious win that yours most undoubtedly is. I did change pickups. Nice axe man, great taste!

Thanks man. I grabbed this earlier on last year. I’ve got real deal Gibson customs and you can tell a difference between the gibsons and the edwards, but the edwards hangs a lot closer than you’d think and at a fraction of the cost of even a standard. I wanted a 59 style neck for band practices and gigs where I wasn’t taking the real deal customs places.

I can't afford a custom. Well, could, but considering I have a family it'd be a real selfish dick move if I did. I'm a sucker for white and gold. I have a white and gold E-SA Edwards with a bigsby. I sold a nice ES-333 I had because the Edwards was easily the better guitar so I had no reservations about going with an Edwards LP when the day came. I blame rig-talk membership and a new interest in Mike Bloomfield for creating the LP love and I needed a backup gigging guitar with 22 fret access anyways and didn't want to just buy another copy of what I had.

I think the LP may even have knocked my E-SA out of the #1 spot. The rosewood is dark and feels like I'm playing on silk. It's the easiest guitar to play that I've ever had. I put a Lollar DB in the bridge, 57 classic in the neck. Man she smokes through a cranked Twin!!!! I still wish it was white and gold like yours tho!!! I'll slowly convert the hardware gold. The honey burst has grown on me since the guitar is tone packed. Sorry to ramble but I've been inspired by these instruments.
