Hey man - how are you liking that VHT 1x12?

If the thiele cabs are a 9, the VHT is a 7.5.

It's nice and light, it's easy to swap speakers, but it's a bit bright for my tastes, unless it's on the floor.

It's what I bring to small gigs and jams.

It has four ports in the corners. I'm not sure how strategic they are though.

I had one with a greenback and it sounded ok. When I sold it I gave the buyer a choice of speakers and I put in a V30. I was surprised how much better it sounded with a simple speaker swap. I'm not claiming it shoulded as good as my D412, but I thought it sounded pretty good for a 1x12.

I'm is relatively "massive" when you consider it's just for the house:

I definitely don't have a massive rig by some people's standards, but I absolutely love what I have.

guitars_082907.jpg

I love this approach,
1 LP Standard
1 LP Custom
1 SG
1 Tele
1 Strat
1 Acoustic

No in-betweens or duplicates, all classical guitar types. Rather complete collection this is...

Hmmm...something is wrong with the link to my pics...I'll have to fix it later.

Thanks! Now, I want a semi-hollow Gibson 335. That would really round everything out nicely. :)

Nice collection Chris...that's what i'm trying to go for.

I figured you'd also be in for something like an 80's shredder or a super strat with a humbucker. I didn't figure you for a Tele guy. ;)

How you liking the VHT stuff? I absolutely love my Pittbull 45 for my clean/blues tones. I'm hung on what to get next. The only problem is that the UL I played for a few weeks was what I would describe as a very "tight" amp. It was great though but I wanted something a little looser feeling. Maybe it was my cab I was playing through...I dunno. I'd like to try it out again.

That being said, I just picked up another TSL that i'm going to ship of to Trace to have the deluxe mod done to it sometime in the next couple of months when I get back. (still in Iraq at work). Being out here sucks, but oh man oh man, the $$$$ for my rig when I get back.

whoo hoo
