I'm still new to all the plugin and virtual amp world here. Is there a company that makes a power amp plugin? I have a favorite plugin that I love using for room jamming (Nimbrini JMP-1), but there's no way to separate the preamp and power amp portion of the plugin to only use the power amp if you wanted to.

I'd love to try out some of the Synergy stuff along with the Two Notes wall of sound, but Id probably just use the speaker portion of it as I don't like the power amp portion built into that plugin as much as I was hoping I would.

Any thoughts?

I hated Synergy with Wall of Sound, but in general dislike WoS. Can’t help with power amp plugins… I ended up going 5050 to Captor, line out to DAW and IR from there. A lot of IRs are captured with power amps and are gonna color in the regard anyway, right?

STL tone amphub, there's one

also, their JMP-1 sounds way way better than nembrini's

I'm sure there are some out there (only one I've used is WoS) but in my opinion they are not necessary; you can get great tones running preamps straight in to IR's in my experience

I tried this a while back with decent results. I prefer to run into real power amps with a load box then into DAW but this is a great solution if you dont have a power amp

Ever since you got me into building pre-amps and running them thru my JCM-800 passive loop, this is exactly how I run my rig !

Thanks for the recommendations all. Ive seen the Amphub plugin brought up a few times in addition to here, so I figured I'd give it a try. Gotta say I'm not really impressed with it at all. None of the cabs really seem to wow me a tall, and the amp models all seem to have a similar tone. Guess its just not for me.

I'll just have to bite the bullet and buy some of the Neural plugins. I loved those things when I was messing around with them in the trial time. The Gojira and Petrucci ones were super fun while I was playing with them!
