Power Conditioners/Voltage Regulator?

Fact is most small clubs have shit for power, def. a good investment for that alone.

I had a furman, but upgraded to a monster 2500. works a ton better, isolates everything, has all the bells and whistles, and the amps sound killer. did a gig at a bar here on the island where the dj rig had a hum but our rig didnt (I run our pa thru it as well) the dj wanted to know how we got the sound so quiet

That is a power conditioner, not a voltage regulator, it will clean up your power but it won't help you when the voltage drops.

Boomer pretty much nailed it. I tried an APC but that did not work nearly as good as my Furman voltage regulator. Best investement I have done in YEARS.

Personally, I found it (Furman) to be worthless. My wall voltage swings between 125 and 128. At 127, the furman unit would switch taps and make the output go from 125-126, down to 118-119, then back to 125-126.

The result was an audible difference in volume.

Maybe in a bar would be a different deal, but at home, every time an appliance would kick on, it would shift. I run mine through an APC line filter / power strip now, and the couple of places I've played, it's not been a problem.
