Decided to hook up three different preamps to my KSR PA50 to compare them both boosted and unboosted. Used a SM57 on a G12K-85 into my iRig pre that goes directly into my iPhone. Out of the three which do you prefer?

Preamp #1 is the AMT M1. I had the gain about 1 o'clock which is higher than I normally have it since it does get tend to get a bit muddy above noon especially with drop B tuning. The boost really makes it shine. With the gain a little below noon it's definitely more of a vintage Marshall type thing.

Preamp #2 is a DemonFX copy of the Diezel VH4 preamp pedal. I was trying to kinda get my baseline crunch tone with all three. This required the gain knob at 9 o'clock on this pedal.

Preamp #3 is the Synergy SLO module. I used the green (or is it blue?) channel with the gain right about 9 o'clock. Again, going for that baseline crunch tone that I would boost for when I want more.

1 by itself is a little bloated, but sounded best when you rolled back and with the boost on.

I think 1 was my fave...sounded like the syn slo...
2 was like deli...
