I found this, I don't know if it'll also work with PC but give a shot Re: IO setup changed from PT9 to PT10
The default setting in I/O Setup for "Sessions Overwrite Current I/O Setup When Opened" was changed to OFF with Pro Tools 10. Could this be the problem? Look for the checkbox - bottom right. Is it un-checked? If so, you should re-check it - and then you might have to fix any sessions that were re-saved during the period when this was disabled.
Added Info: A tip for the sub-paths problem.
1. Create a new session.
2. Go to I/O Setup
3. On each tab Input / Output etc ... select all paths and delete them. Make sure everything is gone.
4. a. Now go back to each tab and hit the Default button. (This should create the default paths and sub-paths for your hardware).
b. Pay particular attention to the Bus tab at the top, as this is where the Output Mapping to your Hardware Outputs is located.
c. Make sure that your mono sub-paths are setup correctly on this Bus page.
5. Once all this is verified as correct, Export the settings as your personal setup: eg "RIK I/O 2011"
6. Hit OK, and re-check all the I/O in your test session. If all is good, you're set. If not, go back in - make changes - Re-Export settings.
7. You can then import this I/O Setup into any destroyed sessions. (after wiping all the I/O for each session)
Always pay attention to that pesky little "Sessions Overwrite Current I/O Setup When Opened" checkbox. It can be disastrous, and a bad choice by Avid to change this default option in PT10.
Even though the Output Mapping to Hardware Outputs may seem like an added complication it actually makes translation between different PT rigs a breeze.
