Hey guys, I have an idea... If you can't lend anything constructive to the thread then move along. Bashing Cameron isn't helping anyone and I am willing to bet that most of the bashers would LOVE to own one of Mark's amps...either a modded Marshall or CCV/CCM. ;)

Well said.

Hi, I just found a powertube is lighting up but not showing any bias whatsoever
so the powertube has blown ,that is the noise it made....
but.... I just replaced it with a powertube that is working and the push pull pot is still faulty ,so I think the powertube has taken out a component when it failed

there is a guy in the uk who can look at this for me so its not all doom
Normally the power-tube will take the screen resistor with it when it fails.

Hi , would that mess up the push pull pot
No, It wouldn't have any effect on the PP pot. Could also have a failed cathode resistor though... It's something simple.
If you're in the U.S., send it to Trace at Voodoo. If you're in the UK - see if Martin Kidd at Cornford will fix it for you. He's a really cool guy, and has probably forgotten more about amps than most.

Hi , Im in the uk, thanks very much for the advice.
earlier this week I sent the amp to dan gower aka mrdan666, he is in in the uk and is going to do the repair ,cheers

is the problem solved? Im in so cal if you need a tech. I might even be able to get mark to call me on the cell.

My aldrich is now repaired and serviced and once again sounds amazing.......
tight aggressive over the top gain.... with huge balls killer tone and great touch response

Big Big thanks to Dan gower aka Mrdan666 who kindly did the repair and went to a great deal of trouble to do it for me

I would whole heartedly recommend dan who is in the uk, to anyone for any repairs servicing or mods
