I like those Locking knobs. I've used them on a number of pedals in the past. Expensive through... issue is they're $15 each, so by 9 or 10 knobs, it can get quiet pricey. but an idea for sure :)

A dot of nail polish next to each knob. Differrent colors for differrent settings. Easily removable.

I use a combination of my eyes and my brain. And of course, every room is different so it doesn't really matter anyways.

My main amp right now I can basically run all the EQ at full, gain anywhere from 60-100%, and volume as high as I can get away with

Ampeg used to make an amp with a key to lock the knobs , I dont remember the model.

Take a picture, date it, then look back over time and see how you’ve gone full circle around to where you started years ago.

Blackie Lawless said they superglued Chris Holmes’ amp knobs and PQ3 knobs in place so he couldn’t fuck it up.
OMG, what would his mother say!
Mrs. Holmes: "I try not to think about it".

VL series designed by Lee Jackson, the key only prevented the amp from being turned on if it was locked in the off position, it didn’t lock the knobs though.

Oh , ok. It was such a long time ago . It would of been a pretty cool feature if it locked the knobs though.
