I was not too impressed intially with the BB but it is a really grt pedal. the OCD v.3 though is my favorite. more low end and just amazing touch response. BB is close but little more highs and mids. Still a great pedal.

Guys maybe you can help me. I love the tone form my 800 and MP but on leads I find it thin. the TSL I had was thicker becaue it was more naturally compressed. giving it a little fatter tone easier and cleaner.

I love the feel of my 800/JMP but is is noiser (I can deal with that) but not as thick/compressed like TSL or modern amps. Is there something I can do? Maybe use a compressor on leads?

I did this clip a while back with my guitar synth and YJM strat through a stock 800 into 72' marshall cab with greenbacks, but i'll post again for reference to your "thick" lead quest with an JCM800. I'm using just a DOD Grey 250 Overdrive boost ( which is both similar to BB and OCD but i think more transparent)..I think the overall effect is pretty thick and creamy sounding IMO...dont mind the flops in between it was done very quickly.

cheers

Wow that sounds great. I find that the gray DOD sounds best with a single coil p/u. I have one gray and 3 yellow and I prefer the yellow w/ humbuckers

thanks man. interesting, i have the old yeller one too and never tried it on humbuckers...I'll have to check that out now! The Grey is just the bomb IMO, but i only like it with Marshall's. I just wished they were'nt that noisy, thats the only downfall....oh well,BOSS NS-2!
