Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

So you buy three of them - clean, crunch, and lead 😂

Jokes aside I’d just go axe fx at that point. That’s a deal breaker.
Yeah. I just feel like inwould spend so much time setting up the axe. Not saying it wouldnt be worth it. But quad cortex is a lot more intuitive

So fwiw after a few hours with the QC it's pretty damn awesome. Having made some profiles, to me the profiling is much more accurate than the Kemper and while some of the models seem to suck (Rectifiers) some of them seem pretty damn good (JP2C channels).

I'm not a heavy FX user so I can't compare the delay and reverbs. I do like that the QC can run the delay and reverb in parallel while the Kemper seems to require them be in series.

The one thing that stopped me on qc was i heard you couldnt switch between a clean and dirty profile on the fly
You can just switch between presets and it doesn't seem to care what's in the presets (clean or dirty), but there's a drop out for a moment as you switch, and it seems quick from capture to capture but is noticeably longer going from a capture to the JP2C model (as just an example).

There may be a way to just switch between amps within a preset and maybe then there'd be no drop out.

It's not like super long but you'd need to plan on it.

This is exactly what I heard about. I used clean to dirty as an example of why one would want to switch on the fly.
If it can't do it fast, I can't just incorporate rests into every damn song. I am all for anticipation, but sometimes I need to suprise crush someone.

I was a bit surprised by the drop out. I can see it being a deal breaker for some.

I'll try to set up one preset with two amps and see if it can toggle between them faster that way.

Hell ya. Let me know
Yeah you can set up a preset with two amps, one off and one on. Then set them to the same footswitch and when you step on the switch, it instantly toggles them.

Obviously some limitations if you want to switch to a clean with heavy reverb and delay to a dry boosted high gain sound, but there might be creative ways to work around it.
