Well I tried getting that strong midrange Rockman sound and didn't get very far. Parametric EQs really are a Pandora's Box.
I was able to approximate the MarkIV's graphic EQ, but doing opposite sounds was a lot more difficult than I thought.

Got my source audio EQ2 today. I learned it, downloaded the editing software and... liked it in the loop. Tried it out front and its a piece of shit.

Dave I posted you clip over on the TGP where a few people that work at the company are on a thread.

Thx. I switched to a different tap which has 400mA and it solved the first issue. The other issue I’m having is in the next video. I might be overloading it? Not sure, but I’m trying to use it to drive a stock Marshall. It’s not like I’m maxed out on anything. The output goes to +12dB... I’m only at +5.6 and the gain is at +6 and can go to +18dB.

Feel free to post this at TGP since I was banned from there years ago for copying someone’s quote and questioning their response...evidently calling out people lies is bullying.

I've got a few warnings but no ban.

I posted it with your quote.
The president (not Donald) recommended using the power supply that came with the EQ2.

What do you think of the noise gate in the EQ2 ???
The only time I use a noise gate is when boosting a amp.

The only time I use a noise gate is when boosting a amp.

I’m now using a power supply with 400mV. First issue is cured, but the second issue is even worse. I’m not even close to maximum levels and it can’t handle it.

The noise gate is pretty good. Limited controls, but still cool.

I read those posts on TGP. I guess I have to sign up again. I’m going from my guitar, into the EQ into a stock JMP. That’s it. Seems they like to insult people to avoid solving their pedals issues.

Come on over and talk with them directly. I wouldn't take the small talk too seriously. I've talked with him several times over the years about a few of their products and he has always been helpful. They make good stuff that is pretty unique.
I always enjoy our conversations. Trust your opinion and learn stuff from you. As you probably know I am Don Genaro on social media.

I jumped over. Thx. I really appreciate it.

I’m still having issues with the EQ2. Seems I’m unable to use it with hot pickups driving the front of a Marshall. It stinks since the Boss PQ-4, GE-10 and MXR 6 band EQ’s work perfectly out front. Oh well.

Sucks man. How is it in the loop? If you can send it back, grab the empress para eq. I have that right after my guitar. It just gives me this raw badass tone. I have also had it last in line before the amp.

Thanks for the follow up Dave. Appreciate it. That is half of how I would use it.

I’m bummed out. I had planned on using multiple presets for the front of the amp, like quick changes to a boost pedal. Funny thing is I wasn’t even driving the EQ curve that hard.
