He rambles, but as an almost 55 year old, I miss hearing people tell good stories, etc. In high school, we read about all of these stories of gear and who was playing what amps, etc., but liked the details behind it all.

Must have just been the youtube videos you're judging from. They use the same shit and can sound different depending on the venue, shape of venue, arena, monitor positions, the recording method.... some of the best tone I've heard was diezel vh4 at rock am ring... juicy and growling... wasn't any wooliness at all.... you probably are mistaking the bass for being part of his guitar tone. F*ckin n00b.

I don't care one bit if Randall rambles. He seems to be enjoying doing the videos, and I feel lucky they happened while I'm alive to see them. He's not going to do a 2 hour seminar on the Boogie/Hetfield connection because there probably isn't that much to share. Tho it's important to many of us, it was a blip in the time-line of his life. His memories of racing probably consume more of his bandwidth than the memories of his interactions with James does. Just my opinion tho...
