I like rats paired with crunch settings on amps, especially for leads and solos
Got it. Played it for only about 10 minutes so far. Initial impression is I'm not really digging it. That's going into the low input of my VTM60. I'll try some other options next week when I can get to my gear again.Hell yeah man!
I generally use RAT’s like any other boost. More level than Gain and sweep the Filter to taste. Generally don’t dime the Level though just enough to hear it do its thing.Got it. Sounds like a nod to the Landgraff MO’D. Used to have one of those and it was a great rat type pedal.I have a pretty cool rat clone from Freakshow Amplification. Here's part of the description:
"I added a few clipping options, position #1 is Asym clipping (smoothest and most compressed), position #2 is no diodes mode, this is very loud and crunchy...great for DOOM!, position #3 is LED diode clipping mode....this is a less compressed AND FIZZIER version of mode #1."
Def love sending my bass through it as @Spaceboy mentioned; it sounds great.
