Reaching out to Mark Cameron

See, the thing is...this thread isn't about tone.

It is about a guy, screamindemon, who sent Mark Cameron his amp 3 years ago (and probably money too) and apparently lost both.

I don't think anyone is really arguing that Cameron amps do not have good tone. They do. So if other modders don't have as good of tone for you, that's fine. If Splawn makes an amp that has good tone TO ME and others, and I want to recommend it to people because I'm confident they will get their amp then that is my right as well. And that is actually more relevant to the thread then who's amp sounds better. Same with the 5150 example. We have a pretty kick ass 'Who's amp is tightest and punchiest for metal' going now. Cheers mate :)
Fair enough. The post I was responding to though was about tone though, at least partially. That’s what I’d rather discuss than things like drama or an amp’s reliability

It's cool guys...I didn't help by saying something like...'or you could get a splawn'

water under

I did message Jason on reverb and he did get right back to me and said he would have Mark contact me. so we will see where this goes.
Thanks to Jason and the guys who have reached out to me so far.
So in the end, did Mark contacted you?

Yes, Mark has contacted me and is supposed to ship my amp back to me. Hopefully he follows thru this time ! Thanks to everyone who reached out to help. I will update when the amp is in my hands.

I can’t believe he’s had it all this time. Is it that he has these things and literally doesn’t know who owns what, so he can’t send them back? Hopefully you get it back soon man. Post up some images when you get it!

Is he just sending it back? Or did he mod it?
Not being a ass. But read in the past he just sent back the amp without touching it.

Good luck Screamindemon

I will believe it when I see it. If so, there could be hope for others. If it were my amp, and he identified it and said he would ship it back to me - I wouldn't even bother asking him if he modded it or not. Don't leave any window open for him to say 8 months from now that he's waiting on parts or down on his luck blah bla blah.

:ROFLMAO:
This could have been it the whole time

Well someone earlier in the thread said they met mark for their amp and there were dozens there, I asked if anyone found their amp on eBay or anywhere else and it doesn’t seem like anyone has.. maybe he does still have everyone’s amps

I'm the Wizard repair boi mentioned before. I wouldn't let my situation turn you off to Rick/Wizard. It was an used amp that a defective Boss TAE jacked up. (Not buying another Boss/Roland product ever again after they gave me and Sweetwater the shaft.) Sounded great before the repair/update and even better after.

Have basically sold all my gear and am carefully looking to acquire new stuff. Gonna try some more vintage Marshall flavors but I'll probably be back to Wizard at some point. Just killer amps. I would love to have the VC, MCII and MTLII all at once. Haha.

I’ve been so far down that path of trying all the vintage Marshall type amps and just warning you that none of them measured up to the real deal. Might be better to start with that and seeing if any of those “boutique” amps can actually hold their own to you to the real deal. Just my 2 cents

The only amps I’ve kept that sound somewhat Marshall-y, but not really, are my Wizard MTL and Naylor. Those are fantastic amps imo

Sadly, there are people that we know that should have helped get those amps back to their rightful owners.
