How does everyone feel about the rear loaded cab paired with Herbie?

Really? I´m wondering sometimes if it wouldn´t have been the better decision to buy the ToneTubby cab. There was no bass. (compared to the v30 RL)

Way to much bass imho.
Hey Bato, there are these cool little things attached on the front of Herbert.
I seem the recall there are twenty of them. I think they are referred to as KNOBS and they work quite well in the right hands... ;)

There is a special and unique thing between the Herbert and the rear loaded cabs. The Herbert and the front loaded is bliss as well. It just depends on what you are after.

Im really digging the RL with the Tone Tubbys. NO BASS?? Mine shakes my sac when i play it. Gives it a lil more familiar feeling that i like. I used to play an old USA FL Cab with V30s before the new cabs...i really like the RL Tone Tubby with the Herbie & The FL G12K with my VH4. Just my $.02 again, it is all n what you are trying to achieve.

It's up to you and your ears ultimately... The thing with "gear" is that, if I may speak for almost everyone on this forum, we all suffer from OCD when it comes to gear. If there's the slightest change or something has a new shine on it, we all get pretty interested and start thinking it'll make us play better, be better, sound better, etc. I speak from personal experience on this one most certainly. Gear is best as it gets unwrapped - the best sound it makes is when UPS rings the door bell, this is this sick psychological state we as musicians oft at times suffer from.

If the cab as it is sounds awesome to YOUR ears, and the feel and look are happy in YOUR opinion, and ya, as per the BUTTONS-ON-THE-FRONT-OF-THE-AMP comment earlier (in other words - USE THEM!), be happy and stay happy. There are some cats out there playing through a shit kicked 1x12" combo who work nightly circuits on 1 beat to shit 6 string that could probably blow most of the players on this forum away. They PLAY GUITAR, and rather than think "new merchandise", they think about songs and riffs and melodies and harmonies and have that 6 string in their hands 24/7 as opposed to the computer keyboard... If ya get's ma'driff.

I'm a geek and a musician, and obsessing over technicalities is one of my fave time-wasters...I learn a lot on these forums, but as well, have ended up buying a lot DUE to these forums. If I was broke (which at times I get close to), didn't wanna waste my time on the 'net, I'd probably be making jaws drop with my old 80's Japanese Squire and that POS Traynor 15W amp I had when I was a kid.

Namaste,
V.

PS - I love cats and therefore must commend you on your avatar and cat-powered comment.

That's just awesome! :D

BINGO! I wish I had a dollar for every guy that posts whether he would like this amp or this guitar or this squeeze box...I mean it gets to a point where the statement above from V. is as far as it goes.

Yes there are these things called knobs, but it´s the characteristic of the cab. Of course the RL Tonetubby has got bass, but it´s not the woofy bass of the RL v30. The FL v30 is in between of these three cabs.

Well, aside from the obvious (tone and the like), any feline infused or cat coupled studio environment, specifically a rig, will have super powers. I think this is just common knowledge.
