Michael Schenker's pedalboard...

Another thing on Vibe's if you are in the market.

1. What are you trying to do? Are you trying "recreate" Trower or Hendrix? Is so then that's probably going to send you down a specific vibe build path. For me personally I was not.
2. If you can afford it or have access to test them...try as many as you can. I had alot of fun doing it and even at times where I was playing very little, the vibe search kept me involved.

I personally have not owned or tried a bad Vibe, the majority all have their own thing going on even the non bulb type vibes. Ultimately I landed on what "fit" for me and price high or low had no bearing. But then again that is pretty much how I am on all the gear I own.

I will say that Horrothia FX has a new one that is peaking interest lol.

What does that have to do with the thread? I love Schenker though... getting it done with" boring " off the shelf BOSS pedals and a TS for extra drive. I'm guessing the volume pedal brings in more delay when he does the singing quieter melodic parts and then he backs it off for the rest. Dime wah is an interesting choice.

Don't have much experience with univibes, but the retroman ubervibe is a great option on a budget. I just don't find I use it very much, but it has a an on/off switch so you can save the bulbs if you aren't going to use it that set.

The Dry Bell Vibe Machine would be an excellent choice. Comes with CC pedal input for controlling speaker rotation speed. The custom/vintage/bright switch is a must-have for humbucker use.

Hughes & Kettner Roto-vibe. That’s what Mike Einziger used to use on all the old popular Incubus stuff.

I had a H&K Roto-Vibe. It was a cool unit, and for the life of me I can't remember why I got rid of it? It was huge! I think I ended-up selling it when I purchased a Dry Bell V1. Peter Frampton used a Leslie cabinet with his Marshall Super Lead 100 stacks when I saw him in '78. That was a great sound! Thanks to Thai stick and MD 20/20, I missed a lot of that show. Passed-out through Kansas' entire set! I caught "Carry On Wayward Son", but that was it. Fucking sucks, because that was before Steve Walsh began singing through his nose.

Anytime the mere mention of Schenker and the relevance is over and done. He is guitar period so u need to understand that first before asking why!??!?

I could have seen the original MSG lineup at the Agora Ballroom in 1989. I was so hung-over from the night before, I didn't make it. Christ... If I wasn't passing-out at shows, I was missing them from getting too f*cked-up the night before. Pathetic!

I stayed sober the night before Rock Super Bowl XIV, as I wasn't going to miss Ozzy w/Randy Rhoads. Word on the street was that Ozzy was going to blow-up a goat onstage. Anyway, I was walking up the driveway, and my mom said to me; "Did you hear about the guitar player who died in a plane crash today?"

Thanks for all of your advice. Sounds like you had quite journey with vibes haha. I’d say Im definitely seeking out the Trower sound primarily. I’d prefer the pedal to have the bulb for authenticity.

Another I’m looking at is the EHX Good Vibes. Anybody here play with one?

ouch! Now that's a memory that will stick with a fella.

Yup. Pat Travers lives locally, so they go him to fill-in at the gig. I passed on the show and proceeded to drink heavily.

Travers was pretty bad ass at that time too though. Not the same, but no slouch either! He would have been close to his prime at that point, fueled by cocaine and booze.

Pat was ripping it up in those days, absolutely. I had seen him many times locally, so I passed. A lot of people did. We drove out to the crash site, but we couldn't get close enough to see the house. The business still operates in the same capacity as it did then.
