I have a Boss GE-7 i used to run in front of my Marshalls, but it's starting to crap out. Looking for something different and high quality to run in an FX loop, recommendations?
I absolutely hate mine. Clinical and cold.Nothing touches the empress paraEQ for me in the loop of an amp. The new one that is out is incredible and has fantastic features that many eq pedals don’t have, hi/lo pass for one.
Agreed. The other Empress are like that too. Clinical with ugly artifacts around the notes. Functionally a great pedal, but tonally badI absolutely hate mine. Clinical and cold.
This!I'm happy with my Guptech pPSTD parametric. I'm able to dial in the right adjustments, it's quiet and natural sounding.
I didn't care for it much either. I'd say mine was processed/synthetic sounding. Made my Wizard sound more like an Engl....albeit, a really really articulate/punchy Engl which was kinda cool...LOL!I absolutely hate mine. Clinical and cold.

I would contact XAct Tone Solutions and send in your stock Boss GE-7 EQ pedal for their midrange mod. I just got mine and it's money well spent for the mod. The midrange frequencies are useable and it's quiet.I have a Boss GE-7 i used to run in front of my Marshalls, but it's starting to crap out.
