Recording and editing modern bedroom metal.

Yeesh.
I just died inside.
Quitting guitar altogether and going back to the harp.

I will say, if somebody had a simple tutorial on how to set Logic up to be that conducive to being a one man band I could be convinced to finally convert to switch to a Mac

I think he summed up in the video what I was thinking when listening to this style of playing and writing.

"It doesn't even matter the fret that I'm on. I'm just making noise."

My favorite parts about this dude’s content is how easy to use he makes his recording setup look.

Ok, I finally hit play. I've watched a bunch of this dude's short content (reels on IG), but never actually watched a YT video of it. I can understand the complaints. He's literally just copying and pasting riffs in his DAW and making a song...ok. Miss me with that. But I do like how easy he makes everything look.

To me it's the copy pasta more than the music.
It's like common core math for music or something.
Sure he's making music, but he's not playing music.
This is coming from somebody who heavily uses synths and midi and have always been kinda an outcast in music.
At least I can play everything from the beginning to end.
