If I have my clean channel volume all the way up, I can only increase the reverb to where it is barely on. If I increase it any more it makes the snare or fuzz noise. The only way I can get good reverb is the way I set my channels in the vid.

Which can limit the amount of Fender-like tones you can get from the clean channel at higher volumes...

OK...last question..please. CH1 volume full up. Where are the rest of the knobs set on CH1 and MAIN master set? Understand there "could" be defect in the reverb module itself. The reason I wanted to do some troubleshooting first was so that we did not inconvenience you but taking it to a service shop until I am sure of what the problem is. I have not had an issue with my Renegade here so I want to be sure I duplicate your circumstances. Thanks for working with us on this. Often we just get yelled at and talked badly to because something on one of our amps (like the reverb in this case) has an issue. We really do care and just want everyone to be happy.

hbucker, holtman and Tyrone, where do you live?

I cranked up my channel volume and turned down my master last night. I was able to get the reverb close to the distorted sound we've been discussing and that I posted, but not completely.

I totally think this has something, if not everything to do with the problem. None the less, it is still an intermittant problem for me. here today, gone the next.

FWIW

Thanks Bruce. I've worked customer service most of my professional life so I understand how thankless it can be. I do appreciate your attention to this issue. And how often does someone like me/us have the owner of the company and designer of the gear working with us on an issue??? Not often.

That speaks volumes.

With my channel volume dimed, I would have my master around 11 for band and 730ish in the house for practice. Gain 8, bass 3, mid 9, treble 2. 65w, deep, bright and tube mix 12.
I am in Las Vegas. Any other questions you have, please let me know. I am anxious to here the outcome and maybe a fix.

! ! ! ! ! I did not forget about this !!!!!!! Just received new reverb boards for testing. Egnater is a sponsor for the Eric Clapton Crossroads festival and I am needed in Chicago this weeked. Probably won't complete this testing until mid next week.
Thank You so much for your patience.

No worries Bruce. Let us know what you find out.

Thanks for the update.

hmm i getting this reverb slap back/distorted thing to. doesn't bother me that much as i have a pedal that i am very found of but i am interested in the comments about the channel volume sending a hotter signal through the effects loop. i have a boss dd3 that when in the loop will "distort" occansionaly and only does it with this amp. will have to play with the volume controls and see if that is the source of my problem.

11J22....do you have a Renegade?

Note for everyone's understanding. Think of the channel volume knobs as reverb and loop send (input to reverb and loop) controls and the MAIN MASTER as return (from reverb and loop) controls. This means if you reduce the channel volume knobs, you will also reduce the level into the reverb and the loop send. This means less signal into your reverb and effects and less chance of overloading (distorting) them. If you have this issue, do try reducing the channel volume knobs and increasing the main master control.

yes?? thats why i was posting in here (not trying to be smartass). awesome amp by the way, quickly becoming my favorite one. haven't got a chance to mess with the volume knobs yet, as it is at my rehearsel spot. i know that i usually don't run the amp very loud as we always mic everything. im thinking the channel is around 10 o'clock and the master is areound 10 also. do u think that would be enough to overload the pedal. also i have another line 6 dealy pedal that works with no problems in the loop, its just the dd3. but it works fine with all my other amps. again awesome amp and thanks, its awesome to be able to talk to someone in a company and get a response.
