Reverb Buyer Payment Delays

Reverb doesn’t seem to care when someone backs out of a deal.

they must be made to pay for this grievous policy. You must act now!! Lead the way for others! Capture people if need be!!

Ha. Well he paid and the deal went through. So no snatch and grabs this time.

Dude was even nice enough sent me an reverb message a few days after it arrived telling me it was the best Les Paul he's ever owned.

I appreciate the note, because I am always sweating the 7 day return policy...worried some buyer will say there is a smudge on the tip switch so its is not as described and reverb will make me give a refund. That's never happened to me, but I hear horror stories.
 
This is all pretty simple to me. They give you a time frame to respond for offers, pay time, and ship time . You may be pissed about waiting but that's how it works. I don't know what type of personality would by another item if the funding is contingent on selling or getting paid from an item you have for sale. Common sense tells me to complete the transaction before you're off to the races on the next piece of gear . I'm not rich but I don't ever buy things I don't have the loot for.

Here's additional food for thought ----- What happens if you do that and end up having to refund the item you sold? I had a Charvel Custom shop San Dimas I had to refund a guy his money due to a neck pocket crack I didn't even see. He claimed the item was not as described . Talk about a pain in the ass!!
 
I had a thing recently where a guy bought a pedal from me on Reverb, paid immediately, but Reverb told me not to ship until payment cleared. Payment never cleared and I got an email that the order was blocked and canceled by the Reverb Protection Team, telling me to relist the item.

That’s a new one.

They probably did away with that option.

Reverb just keeps getting worse. So that wouldn't surprise me.
 
Crap I bought a Moonstone acoustic from a guy paid for it and he refunded my payment and sold it locally.
