I know this was mentioned before in another discussion, but I wanted to offer my experiences of late..

First off, for those who may be unfamiliar, if you're watching an item on Reverb, Dealers are alerted of this, and you'll start receiving unsolicited offers from multiple sellers.

Now, here's my feedback. It's all fine and dandy, but more than not, they're offering well below 10%, lately it's been closer to 5-8%. I wonder if it's automated? I was watching a Schecter that I already bought elsewhere, and the offers I was getting were laughable.

I decline them, but some day I'm going to tell one, "make it worth my while, or fuck off". Cheap fucks. I've been getting 15-18% from AMS, and MF/GC. If you get hooked up with a Salesperson at AMS, they'll give you deals all day long. I typically use MF for pricing, and go to AMS for matching, and they beat it.

I just ignore them cause they cant change anything about the listing until all offers expire. Fuck em.

I'll get that shit from eBay from just clicking on an item and not even watching it. I think it's at least in part automated as far as sending an offer. I'm guessing the seller can dictate the discount.

But yeah, the offer is usually not even worth the time it takes to read. But I'm sure they get hit with ridiculous low ball offers so turn about is fair play I guess.

It happens.

Someone is always trying to flip something for a few bucks profit.

Things getting worse… people loading up on items that are limited in production due to being a single builder or supply chain issues, then trying to sell 1000 bucks more than the actual manufacturer does. Freaking humans man, get a real job.

But it’s Reverb. You knew it was a shithole but you went there anyway.

I’m at the point where if you deal with Reverb…you get what you deserve.

I specifically put items on my watch list just to see what kind of offers I get from other vendors. It can be annoying for some, or a useful tool for others...

If there's a piece of gear I'm looking for, maybe there's a vendor I skipped over because of the price, but then I see an offer in my inbox that puts it back into the conversation.

I have complained about this several times to support and asked for this to be something we can opt out. It's stupid if I am watching a used item and some dealer sends an offer on a brand new one for hundreds more..

Its DEFINITELY automated. Think about it…..

And agree w above its annoying to get 5% off new price offers when im watching a used item already 20% off msrp
