Interesting mix of budget and high dollar pedals. Crazy that the Strymon Big Sky is still such a huge seller.

It's great to see Keeley doing so well. He seems like such a nice guy. I had a Compressor Plus, good pedal, but I found I just didn't really need it. Or maybe I did. I just hate complex-ing my signal chain and then having to drag more junk to gigs. Maybe I'm just a simple kinda guy, I dunno. I find most of the noise makers are just that, novelty noise makers with no real world application. The again I'm a bluesman.

Morning Johnny. Hope you and your family are well bro. I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. My wife always makes it nice.

I used it for years. I prefer them over the SD-1 but Waynes 808 kicked it off my board.

i've never heard of the waynes 808...hw assignment received haha...off to my local guitar center to terrorize the kids lol

How would you compare the SD-1 to the Blues Driver? I know the SD-1 is legendary for good reason.

Surprised to see a Hologram Electronics effect on the list. Thought they were esoteric and niche, not mainstream.

I play a Fender Bassman, so I was using the Blues Driver as more of a fat overdrive than the traditional SD-1 way of boosting. It just sounds fatter and warmer to me for that use. Now, I could see if you are looking for a boost for a JCM 800 or something, the SD-1 might be better because it's a "tighter" sound.

as far as how it's built ..... The BD-2 is a bit more complex circuit wise .... it utilizes JFETS .... which the SD-1 does not .... the clipping section is a bit different ... there's a few other things ..

Thanks, man!

Do you have a schematic on hand for a stock BD-2?

I wish I would have learned electronics when I was a young man. Now my old addled brain would burn itself out trying to understand.
I maxed out my brain learning how to wire a basic 12v system on a motorcycle. I see all those squiggly lines on a schematic and my brain starts hurting. My kid on the other hand is gonna rewire my Viper for me. I don't get it.🤷‍♂️
