Tonmaz your a mad man, you forgot the einstein, evh 5153, splawn modded plexi, egnater seminar head. The sad part of the whole story is the amps never go farther than tomaz's basement for review.

Ok I said I might have missed a few. I'm glad you reminded me, I liked that Einstein. Everything else on the list was poopoo. I never heard the Egnater so it gets a poopoo pass.

Thanks for the review. What differences did you notice between the Einstein and CCV? Like and dislikes?

Art would be a better one to tell you in depth the differences because he had the Einstein for quite a while. My impressions were first that they are clearly two different animals. The Einstein is definately darker and more modern sounding. It in my opinion is a metal amp as opposed to classic rock. It had tons of bottom and really fluid tone when playing leads. The clean was awesome, one of the best cleans I think I've heard thus far. IMO it was superior to the CCVs clean channel but honestly didn't spend too much time with the CCVs so that might be up for debate. I remember there was no Marshall in it, some amps are Marshall based but this definately was its own beast. Didn't have the midrange bite that a Marshall has which is what we gravitate too. What it did have was really good regardless and IMO great for anyone playing heavy riffy stuff. I recall playing a Led Zep tune and it didn't feel right because it that's not what it is meant to do.

The CCV is just your super hot rodded Marshall, but not exact, we all agreed it was a touch darker than a Marshall but not much. It has the mid range bite that is addictive. I honestly feel withdrawal the past few days since Art took it. It just hit the nail on the head for the perfect tone I know I love. Lots of gain but clear and crisp where as the Einstein might have had a bit more saturated type gain. Hard to explain these things because they are feel more than anything. There was also I think I toggle on the CCV to up the plate voltage for a tighter feel which was pretty neat. What I liked about the CCV that the Jose Art had fell short on was taking it a step beyond the Jose tone if you wanted to. THis give you lots of flexibility. Both great but I would prefer the CCV.

Listen, i have been there through every one of those amps plus the one's that I bought, take these reviews with a grain of salt and if you get a chance go and play them for yourself. There were some excellent heads that came by like the soldano, cornford, diezel, evh 5153,splawn,etc. You have to listen to these amps for yourself,my personal favorite was the cornford and then the soldano.I would hate to think any one would not buy a soldano because somebody said it was poo poo.Soldano, diezel, splawn and cornford were high quality machines.
I THINK ART'S NAME SHOULD READ 232-CRAP ;) :D
I take this board seriously and do alot of reading but not alot of posting because my questions are always answered.
Let's not jam up this board with any more stupidity.
Hey 232 we never saw a clip of your playing!!! Poser.
