Here it is! The rig-talk solo track. Everyone did such a great job, if for some reason I got anyone's name wrong let me know. I'm posting this up on my server for now, PLEASE only listen to the track DO NOT DOWNLOAD it, it will run my server tab through the roof. $$$ I will figure that out later, my wife's about to go into labor and I'm lecturing at a convention so I'm slammed beyond words and can't get to it uploaded anywhere else, it's so long! The solos are all just a little to loud but f**k it!!!

Bunch of amazing solos in there! I've listened to it twice and my favs were #'s 1, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 ,21, 22, 23, 25 and 26


#1 is the winner for me though. Not the fastest or flashiest but really captured the essence of the song/groove. 70's strathead/Sam Hill were tied for my second fav...

Yeah... mine sounds off somehow too, sounds a bit off time, but I think it may just be the context of what I played to vs. being in the middle of a bunch of other solos. I dunno...

Yeah, mine's just a hair off time also, but no biggie. The thing that gets to me is hearing my tone compared to some of you guys. I should have spent a little more time matching my tone to the song. It was fun either way!

Holy guitar solo Batman - that's more soloing than Freebird ! That's gotta be some sort of record for longest guitar solo section in a song - nice job everyone, that was a lot of fun to listen to!

Yours maybe a hair late, I just listened. Some of the passages are late on your soundclick version too. I shuffled all the solos in in grid mode so it was the exact sample length of the backing track I posted. Maybe there was an issue in your conversion, I can look at it tomorrow and nudge it and re-upload. It was hard to tell because I don't know everyone's pocket. I heard issues on solos but it would be one section and then the pocket would straighten up. Working everyday of my life with a click has kind of warped my perception of what's on time, my ear is so acute. So I wasn't going to make judgement calls on peoples feel and groove. But the solos were all lined up perfectly I can tell you that. If anyone else think there's an issue with placement let me know. Listen to it against the track at your home.

What I was going to do but didn't have time, was record your track on one side and the solo on the other.
That way you wouldn't have any trouble syncing the tracks.
Just a thought for next time...

UPDATE: I pulled the song, some people were commenting on their solos being slightly late, I'm going to the studio now to work on it. I don't want anyone feeling that they are being shown in a bad light, I will upload when done in a couple of hours. I'll get it guys. Sorry

Yours was freaking awesome! I'm glad I was a couple before your take (#18). Totally impressed with your picking.

There really wasn't a clunker anywhere on the track. I will post my favorites tomorrow. There are parts of every solo that I really liked. Got to say it again, James you rock!!!
