Wow, didn't expect to see all the Robin hate! Interesting.

I have a Tedley and it is kickass. Incredibly well built. I have played many a Robin over the years and never once did I think they were bad in any way.
Just looked up the Tedley... cool looking guitar. I remember Phil Collen playing a tele style Jackson for a bit that looked killer, too.

I've never been a swamp ash lover, but it's mainly because I have been playing Ibanez guitars for so long. Also, I love basswood and alder a bunch, but the medley in that ebay post almost makes me wanna do something bad.... G A S

I love Swamp Ash. I will always favor Mahogany/Maple combo but Swamp Ash is right behind it.

Here is my Tedley:

Any chance of getting a clip of the tedly w/the XD120?

I've owned 3 Robins, 1 MIJ and 2 Texas and they were all killer guitars. I was really disappointed when they closed up. Unique axes, great players, I'm a fan.

It is a '92 and I could be wrong but I think they were coming stock with Duncans back then. This one has a Trembucker JB bridge and a Hot Rails in the neck. In the pic the neck pickup is a Duncan Hot Stack but I changed it to a Hot Rails which is much better.

There used to be a Shop in CT that sold them before they closed down operations to become a PU company. I thought their Medley line of guitars was comparable to Charvel/ Hamer. Their necks were very good too.

East Coast Music Mall in Danbury (?) used to have a shitload of them in the early 90s. I was up there one summer and went by the store and was surprised to see so many so far away from TX.
