The original, LTD and Online are all perfectly fine. The Replifex/MultiValve doesn't sound quite as good, but it's a lot more versatile.

Don't entirely agree with this. The Intellifex was made to sound hi-fi, whereas the Replifex was designed to replicate the sound of lower-fi classic stompboxes, such as the Phase 90. Two completely different beasts that shouldn't really be compared to one another.....apples to oranges.....
I own both and this is correct.
I use my black face Intellifex for reverb only and the replifex for pedal effects.
While the replifex has reverb in it, the effect is no where near is good as the verb in the intellifex.

Just an fyi... There are 2 versions of the blackface. They are identical sound and looks wise, the only difference being is the first one does NOT save/load sysex files. So if that matters make sure the option for sysex is in the menu options. That is the only way to tell and cannot be upgraded if it doesnt have the option.

I have an Intellifex online, and have been considering other units that may sound better. However, it seems that if you are a gigging musician, there are issues with lag time when switching channels live with some of the other brands/units. The Intellifex needs no mixer, as some others do. And the midi pedal that came with mine works great with no lag time that I can tell. Gonna stick with it. It's really an easy unit to use, and cheap. Maybe I'll try a better sounding unit to fool around with at home but the Intellifex works great live and is an awesome bang for the buck.

Which input and output do you use for mono in and out?

I thought I read somewhere to use the right in and out. Is that correct?

I believe so. It's labeled on the back of mine, I'll check when I'm home.
