Without knowing what the components are, I can't see how anybody can say it's too expensive. There are a lot of production amps that cost more than this.

True. Although a company known for its guitars unveiling an amp at a $2600 price point seems, to me at least, outlandish. Most guys playing Schecter are the younger metal crowd. I don't know of too many "kids" that can afford a $2600 amp. Maybe it's worth every dollar they're asking for it; guess we'll know soon enough.

Here's a lengthy demo of the Hellwin & Hellraiser. I don't hear anything all that impressive tone-wise.

Branding does matter. Why do you think Acura, Lexus, and Inifiniti exist? No one would buy a $60k Honda, Toyota or Nissan, no matter how fine the quality actually is.

Paying nearly Uberschall price for a Schecter? I don't even need to know what it sounds like to know that doesn't make any sense. I'm not saying it's not a good amp, but I can't imagine it will sell.

Latest video, but sorely lacking in hearing what the amp actually sounds like:

amp will go down like fo flat tires (or 4 flat tires)

Really rare for him to do that... I'm not a huge Avenged Fan but there are like ZERO gear videos or anything like that out there... which really shows in this video, because it's basically the worst demo video I've ever fucking seen...

sounds like the pv xxx to me...

Only if the xxx was solid state.

I can't help it, I know it's not fair but I automatically think less of someone when I find out they're fans of A7x.

exactly....not to mention- John 5, ZimZum, and Skold.
Must be some poser goth deal.

I thought the amp sounded about right for what it is, it's just not my thing.
A lot of $ too.

Those guys are excellent guitar players. I am sure they were given the amps. I still am not sure why the price tag is so high. You can't build your first amp and come out with a price tag that high. I am thinking some ego's may have pushed the price point. I think these guys played Bogner amps before this endorsement.

they played Bogner for a while, but supposedly Reinhold couldnt always help them out with repairs or replacements or some such, so they kicked the Bogners and went with Mesa. and now the sig Hellwin, which IMO is way too expensive. id like to try one, but id never buy one, not even an import model, which is also grossly overpriced. id rather pick up a used 5150/6505 or XXX/Ultra Plus and have a great amp for peanuts.

and while i like some A7X songs, i think their name schitck is kinda dumb, and Syn has HORRIBLE vibrato and his bends just sound like ass. IMO of course. i dont really know why, but i just hate hearing his playing...
