Schmidt?

im told it will be 100 watts based on the VH4 platform and will replace the VH4. It should not be that much different.

I dont think it will get nearly as brutal as the Herbie due to the 180 watt output poweramp.

Id buy the Herb for the Midi and the ridiculousness. Even if the Hagen had the same preamp as the Herb channel 3 it wont sound the same due to the poweramp.

...just found some picture and a short review of the Schmidt...on Tone Merchant's forum. Seems to be worth the wait!

Been trying to arrange for some sare time for about a year now...no luck on my side...but I'll eventually go... :)

any news on the hagen? anything at all. im about to get me a herbert if this hagen dosnt show soon or if i dont know anything about it. If it is something i would want more than the herbert i would wait, but if its not i just wanna buy my herbie!

I heard some info on the Hagen today.

Its supposed to be based on the VH4 but with the Herbert channel 3 in the 4th channel, or something of that ilk. It should be just slightly changed/updated VH4.

Should be cool! I think im gunna stick with a Herbie though!
All I gotta to say is VH4 channel 3 + Herbert channel 3 = . There would be no question that amp would be next on my list. Of course the Herbert clean with a gain knob to dial in some break up would be icing. Then maybe just lift a bit of the overall compression. :worship:

well that surely stinks, but atleast i dont have to worry that its a new masterbeast

I was thinking it would be something like a 4 channel motorized potentiometer amp that is fully midi controlled combining The VH4 The Einstein and the Herbert.

Imagine, Einstein Channels 1 and 2, VH4 Channel 3 and Herbie channel 3 all in one amp.

That my friends would be something to behold.

Guys,

I've edited this and deleted the other thread. I hope that you will understand that we all have to wait until the final product hits the markets, which won't be too far away. So far its all rumors I've seen here. There won't be "mass produced" Diezels f.i. and Peter is talking about a pre with motor pots for ages . . . and so on . . .

Just be a bit more patient please.

Thanks

Olaf

thank god! the terms "massed produced and Diezel" just about turned me off of the idea of another main amp besides my beloved herbert!

peace

lameeeeee.

if we cant post, then why dont you tell us some things we may be getting wrong.

we are all in the dark about this. Just a little taste is all we ask for.

and how far is not far away.

Ive been waiting to buy a herbert based on the info on this amp. I wanna spend some money but im loosing my patience!

Buy a Herbert then, you probably won't regret it.

Peace. :)

i know i wouldn't regret it, but i would regret buying a herbert then liking the hagen more and not having any money left to buy one.

I dont know why you guys wont say anything about it. You must know something that you could tell the public related to the format of the amp or the voicing atleast.

If i'm correct you said that the Haegen would be a mean machine less expensive compared to the herbert and vh-4....so if you buy a herbert(wich you will NOT regret) you can sell it later for the almost same price and still have money for the Hagen.
This if you like the Haegen more then the herbert. In the meanwhile you will be rocking a Diezel out.
Just my advise. ;)

Im gunna buy one anyways, i would just like to get some info.

Here is what i wanna do with my rig.

Diezel Herbie, Two Rock CRA 100, Acoustic Image Focus II R
ISP Decimator
Axess Controller with the new rackmount switcher that will come out soon
Pedal Drawer
Furman Power Conditioner
