Serious Topic - Really....

Back to buisiness then you guys can continue discussing the mysterious and often violent thing that is the human pooper . Did swapping that pot out for an Audio Taper work out steve? Im kicking it around as well on one of my amps. It seems that everyone would want a smoother taper so theres got to be a good reason why he used it right?

Haven't swapped it yet. Could be arsed with it just yet, but getting to it soon!

Just got done doing it to mine. Huge difference man, I think youll dig it. Way more latitide at lower volumes this way, very gradual. So far so good.
 
I dont have a CCV so mine was a different value, 1 meg. Same issue you brought up though,opened up the amp, measured the pot and sure enough enough it was a linear taper. A little over a quarter turn up from off and it went from decent lowish volume to balls to the wall loud, this worked that out pretty nice. Seemed like that was where you were heading too so I thought Id confirm what Roid said.
