Not sure if this helps at all….i shipped my own golf clubs to Calgary for vacation and had to pay taxes ($150) on my own shit with no sales transaction. BS.

Yeah UPS will fuck you no matter what, when buying from the US (I'm in Canada) I would always ask sellers to ship USPS. The service is better on this end, and I don't wind up having to pay way more than I'm expecting. I usually expect to have to pay tax, and am pleasantly surprised when it doesn't happen.

I tried to send a friend of mine an old Marshall impedance plug that I pulled out years ago as he wanted it for authenticity reasons for one of his amps so I put it in a padded mailer and it was like $5 as a letter but the mail worker said it had to be considered a package and that would be $17.00 or something like that. I was like absolutely not, it weighed nothing it was because it was a "PACKAGE" and not a letter. I refused to pay it it was crazy....

I don't know how you sane Canadians deal with it.................:dunno::no:

I deal with billet pro shop in Canada, they have a duty on stuff I buy or sell. He has a US PO box to get around all the BS fees.

If you could get him to mail it from the states to you it would save some money.
