Shiva and effects

I hope to be a Shiva owner in the future and would like to know whether the newer version of the Shiva takes pedals better compared to the older non reverb version. I'm a pedal junkie and reading this thread is kind of turning me off on the amp altogether. As for effects, I like using delays, phasers, chorus, fuzz pedals, ambient like reverbs, and such. Am I looking at the wrong amp for this?
 
Same for me TapTempo. Wanting to get into the shiva but getting scared reading about the loop. I run several pedals through the front but prefer my reverb and delay through the loop. Do the newer shivas have a better loop?
 
The 20th Shiva's loop is great. Im not sure what people are talking about? The old shivas had decent loops. not the best but not the worst by any means. You gotta just play around with it and see what you can get away with!
