In light of my recent thread derailment I thought I would see if any body else want's to show where you rock out at? Throw up pics of your Music Cave as it were. Since I already put up mine I'll just do a couple to get it started. Let's see 'em.

Um, is that a Lava Lamp, or a Turquoise Butt Plug?
Seriously, nice digs!

Here's a little chunk from my old room. Don't have it anymore though :(

3 Mile, what's that cab? Nice looking 2x12 Marshall style there.

No pics of my meager collection, sorry.

Nice Drumkit danny!

Gene - the christmas lights are very festive. I sure hope they're running into their own power conditioner.

3Mile - nice space! Looks like a classic rock themed cave.

I agree, very cool drum kit. That's one way to get realistic drum sounds huh? Thanks Nick.

It's Mojo Tone diagonal 2X12, which matches Egnater perfectly. Same Tolex (minus the tan) same grill cloth, same piping. It's a match, good sound too.

Um, yea, it is a Lava Lamp and yea, that's an incense stick next to it. What can I say.

:D

I'm liking that diagonal 2x12... its like a mini half stack.

Exactly, a lot lighter than a 4X12, plenty of the same spread and punch & it looooks mahvelous.

The room was a single car garage but i cant finish it til i have finished my 2 yr long batroom remodel or she will kill me. :scared: But here is the gear minus 2 more Eggie 2x12s, recording monitor speakers and a Eventide H8000FW harmonizer. Its almost done...

Man, you guys are killing me with those MOD 50's! That room I'm showing does not have my current guitar gear though.

Thanks for the compliments on the drum kit. You can see that the first photo has my Gretsch kit and the second one has my Mapex Saturn kit. That Saturn kit is waaaaaay better than the Grestch kit. The Saturn is my studio kit. The Gretsch is the one I take to places I'm not sure are safe for the high-end one!

How do you like the GP3 preamp?
PROS:

1. It's one of the most uniquely featured preamps I own.
2. It has a HUGE range of sounds with all those switches and the graphic EQ.
3. It has a pre and post fx loop.
4. The high gain sounds are awesome, especially with a VHT power amp and cab.
5. It looks cool

CONS:

1. It gets hotter than any other preamp I've ever owned
2. The cleans are actually pretty far down the list in preamps I've owned
3. Still only has 3 channels vs. 4 in the IE4, and 8 in the M4.
4. Requires an outside 9V power supply to send phantom power (this is a big one for me)

A lot of people complain that there isn't enough gain.

Trust me, there's more than enough, unless you're a GC n00b who prefers the levels of gain in a Digitech RP-10 or something.

Gene... any particular reason your 4x12 cabs are on their side?

Are they tired of rocking? Are they taking a nap? Is it nap time in the Guitarslinger Tone Room?

The side of a slanted cab has a LOT more surface area for deep/heavy racks.

Also, the coupling effect with the floor makes the cabsound a bit fatter when the casters aren't isolating the cabinet and floor from eachother.

Ah, cool... Yeah, that would give you more room for racks on top. nice.

mine is an absloute mess right now... the rest of the house is tidy.. so I get one place to dump everything :)

eventually when I move sometime in the future.. I am going to really decorate it :)
