I've made tons of videos over the years of original guitar music but always in the same format (dude sitting in his jam room playing) so for this one I thought I'd try something different, brought in my gf for some fun, hope you like it!

Super simple tracking: guitars are Charvel's straight into the Axe III and direct into Cubase 11 Pro.

Sounds great! Cool vid too.
I dig the Charvels, been looking at them myself a little.
Considering a little faster more modern guitar for myself.

At this level of playing, phrasing, and production - you really should be doing this for a living. That track could have been on the album of any ‘known’ instrumental guitarist from the 90s era. Very, very well done.

Great all around. Would that happen to be Anniston, AL. Runner's Club?

Damn, thanks so much for the comments and checking it out, gents!!

@guitup, yep, that was from a half I ran over there maybe the year before last (I live in metro ATL, was a pretty easy dart across the line to run in AL).

I agree... my constructive criticism would be I'd like him to take some chances in what he plays (push his playing envelope). I bet it would be killer.

sounds great what charvel is this? (white one) and what axe model/cab did you use! great job dude

Very cool! Serious talent. The older I get, the more I regret not woodshedding more when I was younger.

Thanks again brothers, way too kind to an old hack like myself lol!!

Thank you! The white Charvel is a US pro mod, used it for the doubled rhythm track throughout. The brown Charvel is MiJ DK24 (Mahogany w/walnut top) used it on all the leads.

The Axe III stuff: intro tone and rhythm throughout is the Marshall #34 JCM model (tweaked a good bit and run through and Ownhammer IR), the lead tone is a Splawn model also tweaked a good bit and run through that same cab...it's weird, I never fully bonded with my actual QR amp, it was just stiff and lacked the touch-y-ness you'd want to feel for leads, yet the Axe FX model is so tweakable I actually love it lol, go figure.

Excellent playing! You have mega chops! I suck so bad at lead playing. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Great tone as well!
