I would not be opposed to a government funded Bull Mastiff attack force for these situations. Heh, when I was young one of my neighbors has a Bull Mastiff...couldn't have been a bigger teddy bear. Beast had to have been 120+ lbs. Let all the kids crawl all over him, climb on him. Don't think I ever heard him bark once. If he had a bad side, I wouldn't want to get on it though.Watching “Signs” (again). Mastiffs are great dogs indeed. One of the very oldest dog breeds.

Bull Mastiffs look so much like Boxers, just thicker-set.

I never did like the way their face looked. Nice looking body, but their face just looks different than It should in my opinion.
I dunno. I have two golden retrievers now, but still think German Shepherds are the best looking dogs. I had a female for 10 years and had to put her down last winter because she lost complete control of her back 1/2. I miss that girl every day, best dog I ever had.

Of course, strictly-speaking a shepherd should look like the ultimate dog 'cause, well, it's closest to a wolf.
Maybe there's another breed which better fits the criteria, but you get what I mean.
"The rest" are just varying degrees of inbred runts... and we love 'em.
