I mean Dream Theatre is NOT a pretentious overblown insincere wankfest of a band that panders to every 12 year old homo-erotic pre-pubescent male fantasy & bad musical cliche that was stale and lame 25 years ago. You are right Spak! I have a tendecy to ask questions till blue in the face without testing a lot on my own. I think the best thng is to find things I want to try like the Boss EQ you mentioned and just get it used on ebay or something anf then sell if it is not it for me....and just keep doing that till I get it roght. Same thing with hitting G. Center, etc. Thanks man.

The Boss EQ is pretty large and not sure it will fit at this poiint on the board, LOL....but I know the MXR EQs are line level and smaller! I was leaning this way. The MXR 10 band was highly recommended as well. Maybe even the little 6 band.

And so true about running a boost up front. I know it seems to just add some gain and noise. The loop is the way to go with either a clean boost like the MK423 or an EQ which is cheaper!

Oh, and I am playing the amp! I jammed for a while tonight and love this thing! I didn't know there was a MOD 50 power amp on the horizon!?
