A 50w VH-4 close would be awesome. Even if it only has the Channel 3 sound. I mean my Einstein is awesome on the 3rd channel. (Peter says the pre-amp has the same circuit.)
I love the layout and look of the VH-4 with the silver face plate and offset EQ knobs.

Just wondering that is it possible to drop out one pair of the 100W VH4 power tubes to cut the power to 50% ? Maybe this requires re-bias of the active tubes?

I agree with the previous posts, the master volume on the diezel's (well my herbert anyway) is fantastic and if volume is the main consideration for a smaller head then it's a bit redundant.

Lighter weight and more compact form factor is another story entirely, for those reasons I would definitely be interested in a mini diezel.
