It is true that the mRNA thing is relatively new, but it is still a vaccine. A vaccine stimulates an immunity response.
One is free to argue other purposes of mRNA treatments, but one of them is most certainly to be a vaccine

My cousin died a week after getting the vax. Safe fell on his head Bugs Bunny style but he didn't stand up inside it when they cracked it open.
