Actually I had one other CCV an early one and it sounded nothing like this one, must have been broken.

It is true, all else is going. This Cameron CCV100 made a few months ago is a freak show of tone. Believe me I have a history of trying everything. Some is Meh some is good, few are great. Nothing has sounded as good to me as the new CCV and a Port City 2x12 cab with Scumbacks (M75/H75).

It is the sound I have spend $100,000's of thousands of dollars looking for. I am all set with high gain amps. No gas. Will post clips this weekend. Selling all the extra stuff and buying a new truck for cash (Escalade ESV) with the money I had laying around in spare gear which is a eye opener WTF! .

As flakey as getting a CCV is, it really is the real deal. I have not heard better and god damn I have heard allot.

That is all.

Do you still have a Mills? Ever tried the Scumbacks in one of those?

Had a Mills with V30's and it was a damn fine cabinet. For my money nothing sounds as good as the Port City with the Scumbacks do to the actual design of the thing. It really is a revolutionary cab design with the port and bass channel. Sounds Huge.

No argument here :D

Too bad you're not closer, you'd LOVE the Custom 75. Maybe if you're out foe NAMM :D

Told Ya!

Seriously... Brad, I'm REALLY Glad for you... of all people providing this place for us, you deserve Sonic Nirvana... I've had a good share of stuff myself... And Like I told everybody before There is NOTHING.... NOTHING.... NOTHING... Like a CCV.

It does everything you would ever want... It's Got Punch Drive and Fortitude like nothing else... Searing Waves of Tone... Great Feel, Scary Sustain, and Power.
Feels Like 150w... And the Hotter you bias it.. The Better it gets... I turned Nick on to this... And he will bare it out

I love the Cameron Cab with it also... Just a great match... Remember the Ears that tuned this Amp, Tuned That cabinet to go with it.

Someone can say whatever they want about Mark... My Opinion... I guy that has some problems... But no Bad Intent... That is deeply hurt when someone thinks he's trying to rip
someone off..

And Someone who no matter what is said about him is the undisputed King Of Guitar Amplifier Electronics. PERIOD.

And I stand by that.

Enjoy It Brad, You deserve it!

Some people hate that fact that the CCV is the best amp for some....

That's funny.

Some people can't stand to see someone else happy. Or if you do something outside your 'age bracket'. Friends of mine in the over 40 crowd are just slayed by the fact I still like to plug in my old Skully in the Rivera KT and crank some metal....

In time I will probably get a standard CCV or Surreal variant from Jerry.

Not sure if you play much on the clean side. Can you post anything/something on the clean side out of the CCV?

Dave,

Thanks for the insight in dialing it in. The info you sent was invaluable to quickly dial in the head.

Yeah I was surprised how good channel 1 sounds. From crystal clean tones to plexi break up to Exile on Main Street and ZZ top. there is allot more in this amp than the famous Cameron gain. I was killing some Warren Haynes style tones earlier today on channel 1.

There is so much variation with the switches and tone shaping knobs you can pull just about anything out of it. I will post up samples in a clip soon.

I want one REALLY BAD.........I even PM'd Psychodave about it a few months back....
I am going to hold off till a few more get out in the Market.....
but I might be losing out on a chance in line...

Oh.......what the hell should I do......

Jerry seems like a solid person and business man. I have no worries that he and Mark will be sending out amps on a regular basis. I am just not sure about getting a std Cameron or a Surreal that is Jerrys clean and Cameron Hi Gain.

A top notch clean amp to do blues/old rock/edgy cleans is vital to my gig now. Not sure how many around here have plugged into Tone Kings, but the Metropolitan has a perfect clean channel. Excellent clean to slightly burnt clean. You don't just play it, you get inspired to play better by it. To get 95% of that in a channel switcher with a good rock amp on the other side would be excellent.... I would gladly drop coin on that.

Please post up any Cameron clips that could show the variety the amp is capable of. I have 3 amps now to hit those 3 bases.... Zinky, SLO, River KT. Going to one amp or two even, would be good.

I think the chic in my avatar will untie one of the three bows in her bikini for the first person to post a cleanish clip.

Thanks,

Softail.
