Well, I sold my Mesa Studio Pre, Mesa 50/50, Carvin Legacy and today or tomorrow, I'll ship my Mesa Road King II to it's new owner. That means I'm left with...

a Roland MicroCube.

I really need my M4. I'm about 2 1/2 months in.

Well worth the wait...I couldn't be bothered to wait as my used (but almost full price) M4, 6 modules (was 8!) , MOD50 and 2x12 will testify to :D

You'll love it

I'm about 12 weeks or so in. Ordered in February. Bought my Power amp last month and it's been collecting dust other than plugging my POD into it three times to ensure it works. I really want to drive up to Detroit and check out the shop. I have a friend that may come with and I have a distinct feeling that once he hears this thing he'll order one. Does anyone know if they have modules in the store that you can test out?

Well, now that I sold the Road King, I bought 3 modules off three different Rig-Talk members. Along with the EG5 I ordered with the M4, I bought a T/D, EG3/4 and MHG. I'll no doubt have the 3 modules before I have the M4. I have a VHT 2/50/2 (also purchased from an R-T member) just sitting here in the box. Monday, I'll get my 2 new CAA 1x12 cubes and probably the Eminence Governors I ordered for them. I also have 2 Suhr Moderns coming in July. It's going to be a cool summer.

I'm in week 13. It's gotta be close.

I couldn't wait so I bought JKD's M4, and ordered 4 modules from Jeff (T/D, VX, SL2, EG), paired with a 2/50/2 this thing slays! All the tones I'll ever need paired with my Mark IV in the rack :D

If there's one thing I wanted to try..it's that VHT Power Amp with the M4. I had the Randall RT2/50 and to me it sounded a little lifeless/sterile compared to either of my heads (Randall/Egnater)....I really want to try the VHT

That sounds awesome. I'd love to get a Mark IV someday, or just get a Mark IV Egnater style module ;).

Eric

dfrattaroli, welcome to the family! This is a sound decision. (Egnater's new motto)

I have six modules, but kept my Mark IV just like you did. I just can't seem to part with it. Great amp, I'll probably always have it as a backup.

Not to hijack, but you guys with Mark IVs might want to keep them. It seems they are now discontinued according to Mesa's website.

The other day I went to Rudy's in NYC. It's a couple of blocks from where I work. They have an amazing new showroom with one room dedicated to Mesa Boogie. It's the most amazing display of Mesa amps you could ever want to see. Mesa sent him a bunch of cool stuff to dress the room including a huge framed photo of Randall building a Mark 5 amp. The chassis is marked "Mark 5" as opposed to "Mark V" which I thought was cool.

None-the-less Jeff. I WANT MY M4!!! :D :D

And yeah, there should be a module that is purely Mark IV Lead Channel.

Interesting! What does the chassis look like? How many channels? Still tons of knobs?

The pic shows the back of the chassis and only part of it at that. But "Mark 5" is clear as day. Looks like the same style of slant-front chassis though.

:D It is worth the wait! I fired it up yesterday at really high volumes and that is where the pre-amp really shines  . You need to get a SL2 in the arsenal!
