I'm on the fence, because no way am I paying $4500 for an amp, so that probably means wait for a new one or do without. Sucks, but it is what it is.

A new one costs $3,000... paid 100% up front. So are you gonna step up to the plate...

I am ready to buy a CCM

I would have no problems with it. Mark is honest as the day is long. You don't even have to ask, he will tell you anyway. Look at the other builders wait times...6 weeks on the Marsha, 3 months on my Naked, Fortin now 8 months. I don't want an amp built on an assembly line in 2 days.

Steve

I had no problem with it. After speaking with Mark, I was assured I would get my amp...and I got it. Mark has been nothing but honest and nice to me. Like I said earlier... I am ready for a CCM :D

I know I am one of the next people in line for a CCM and I look forward to going down to Mark's place and jamming out with it when I go to pick it up. Should be ready this summer but I dont mine waiting longer if I have to.

This Cameron soap opera really makes for some good reading.

I love my CCV. Got it a few weeks ago. My wait could only be measured in months, not years  The amp is versatile and each channel has it's own tone, yet still has the inherent Cameron tone/feel to it. It is hard to say which channel is my favorite since the clean channel rips with a pedal in front and the high gain channel with max clipping is earth moving. Combine the channels with resonance and presence knobs and switches and the amp is hard to beat...let alone find a peer. I like the CCV so much, I am contemplating selling my beloved Jose'. ;)
Dave,
thought you had the CCV for sale?
You are in a WIN/WIN situation either way my friend with the Jose or the CCV.

I was looking to cash in since my Jose sounds soo good, but decided to keep it and possibly move the Jose (not sure yet). Once I made a video and heard it on tape...I couldnt get rid of it.
I know its not the same as being in the same room....
but doing some A/B with your Jose and CCV.....
I think the CCV sounds better. But that Jose is no slouch. ;)

Good choice on keeping the CCV!

mark is indeed a stand up guy. i have spoken with him and know more than most about his past and there's alot of shit sturring that shouldnt even be going on, people sticking their business in places it has no place being, etc.

cameron USED to actually reply on this forum - but he only works one on one with serious customers willing to pay up front and not bitch and moan when they dont have their amplifier in 4 weeks.

he's had medical problems that put him under, and as he gets better and more able from the added stress, he has meticulously been building and filling orders once again.

if you want it bad enough, put your down payment down, and touch base once ever 3 months or so. but dont be like 80% of the other people who will talk shit for no appearant reason when they havent even spoken to him or ordered anything from him at all. its uncalled for drama.

if his past bothers you enough not to do business -thats your choice. but you have guys here who are telling you the honest truth from experience and talking to him that its not a matter of if you will get what you pay for, only a matter of when. just like any other well known engineer that has been mentioned

mark is a stand up guy. i would do business with him before anyone else. and whats wierd is that mark gets more flak from this forum than anyone else. larry amplification has an 8 month- 12month waiting period and his amplifiers are around $8,000. for the price and what you get from cameron - if i had that kind of cash i wouldnt second bet a CCV at all

hey nick, sent you a PM.

Eh...I want a CCV, and I don't mind the price. Or even a wait of several months. But at this time I'll search for a used CCV.

The guitar amp world already has an Amexander Howard Dumble, I see no reason to assist Mark Cameron in his attempts to protray himself as the next Dumble, and I don't think he will ever succeed in achieving that status which he seeks. All he's doing is making himself irrelevant by pissing off 99% of his potential customers. I support his right to be a terrible businessman, just not with my dollars.

Still love all of the clips of the CCV I've heard and hope to find a used one. Not in a big rush, so I guess I'll keep an eye out for one. Gotta be damn hard to find used since so few actually exist.

Dude...

You are waaay off base... Mark is a Humble Guy... Not a Dumble guy. He's not a business man, he's an amp genius. He also has some health, and personal issues. He's Not trying to "Portray" himself as anything else than what he is.

Your opinion is your opinion, but it is not based on facts... It's based on assumption. He's not seeking status. He has worked on all your Idols amps. He took over Jose Arrendondo's work. and finished some amps that were left undone when he died. He has been at this for 25 years. And his amps are cherrished by most who own them. I know MY CCV is a Joy to me, and am happy everytime I play it... It will never leave my hands.

There are a lot of amp builders out there sure, Bogner, Fortin, Dave Friedman which have a more conventional business sense, perhaps your money would be better served with one of them?

All I know is that for those willing to wait, and know what they want, and won't except less... IMO There is only Guru to go to.

Best,

Roid RAGE

Would you trade yours for 5k CCs 100% authentic Cypionate and classic Parabolan?

For Real?

He's Shredded... I can see a little Water in his chest, and abdomen... Be he is coming in very Hard looking... When he starts carb depleting, and hitting the Lasix he will look inside out... Amazing.

I was never that big on going on stage (Bodybuilding), More into Powerlifting. That's what I love.

But we are going waaay OT

I've only done 4 cycles my entire life. Hahah   I always mention Parabolan to those that lift and took it seriously. Mentioning parabolan is like mentioning new amps from all these great builders..instant hardon. I loved the sustanon 250..man I loved it more than my life   I was a lifter though not a bb. I tried bb once and when I was back stage and saw all the homos and what it was really like..I ran like a bat out of hell, went home and ate a whole box of pasta with 8 boiled eggs, 4 pop-tarts, 16oz of vanilla yogurt and half a loaf of hawaiian bread  . I'd been dieting for 3 weeks. Powerlifting is much more fun too but these days I can't go heavy because it screws up my hands and I have to play guitar FIRST. Deadlifting almost destroyed my fretting hand so now I lift girlie poundages just to stay in shape.

Sorry for going off topic people. just funny old memories.

Might as well talk OT here - body building, BP, or whatever. Plenty of time waiting on Mark to get a CCV out the door and not much more to say about the CCV other than deliver dude. I saw Dennis Hopper died. RIP Dennis. My daughter turned 19 yesterday. She is meeting us in Amsterdam at the end of June and we will head to the South of France for a few weeks. Got my Wizard MC100 back from Rick yesterday. Damn, he did a nice overhaul on it. Added the extra gain stage and the pull pot sweep on the treble. Very high quality work and craftsmanship. No kit parts here and even used a new plexi panel on the face plate. This is what the amp should be and now I am 110% satisfied with it. Rick is a really cool guy and enjoys customer satisfaction. I am on the list for a new Metal when he kicks them out the door. May have my new CCV by then. That will be September and maybe long enough for Mark. Damn, it is sure getting hot over here. Dreading the summer. Um...let's go Mark. 5 months now earning interest on my capital.
