looking for comparisons on the Solar neck shape. Is it fairly uniform across the line? I’m familiar with Gibson shapes. Wouldn’t mind one, more modern looking guitar and I like some of their explorer types. Or feedback on the guitars themselves. I’m definitely more of a classic metal guy than 7-8 string stuff. Are all the 6 stringers 25.5 scale? Seems to be from what I’ve looked at so far.

It's a comfy C shape. A little more fuller than an esp/ltd but not by much. All of the necks are relatively the same. Maybe slight deviation

I've owned like 4 or 5 when they started before covid. I really liked them but I've been spoiled lately with customs. I keep looking at their V's but some of the horror stories on QC has me cautious

I loved mine. It was so comfortable. Best heel and very thoughtful features. Unfortunately, all my friends that had them had quality issues. Some horrifying. I got rid of mine long ago just because i felt like the evertune was stunting my growth as a guitarist. But the prices are very reasonable, so why not roll the dice?

With many of them now crossing the 1K mark I would expect a lot more consistent quality if they’re considered reasonably priced.

Had two bad experiences with solar guitars - never again will I get another one. Had to sell and refund in both cases.

All of my experience is from the first three runs of guitars. So maybe 2017. I am not sure about the quality since then. I would assume it has gotten better.

What sort of issues have people had? I know of the guitars but have not read into them at all as I’m set on guitars and have been for some time. All I really know about them was it started as Ola’s signature with Washburn, then he started his own brand.

Heard some horror stories about cracked fretboards on their line. I was curious about the solar European series guitars.

I’ve tried only one solar. Excellent workmanship, finish and playability. But felt stiff and sounded absolutely DEAD. A complete tonal dud.

Like a roll of the QC dice;

...like when you buy a new Gibson online. :D

at least you can usually return it.

I got the very first run. Quilted blue ocean artist series limited S. Flawless and played and sounded amazing.

Two friends got guitars in the next two series.
I believe one got the an artist model limited A in the second run. His had a saddle malfunction. I think it has hung collecting dust ever since he had it repaired.

The next run, another friend got an artist limited V model. His played well for awhile, then had neck twisting and warping issues. This could have been due to improper storage in canada..though all his other guitars are fine

Another guy i met, the arnold plays guitar dude from youtube, had an evertune malfunction.

That is all my firsthand experience

My bro just got a Cannibalismo V and is losing his cookies about the input jack placement.
I can't stop laughing....
Does seem like strange placement, but is there an issue other than sitting down with it classical style?

i've had 3 of them, and they were all top-notch for a QC, fit/finish standpoint. They out-kick their price.

I don't think stores offer to pay for return postage which can be VERY expensive for a heavy guitar and case.
