Yep, just have to wait and see. It's also possible they go with the SLO II concept Mike was talking about on Tone Talk. Either way going to be really interesting seeing what comes out.
Probably the best idea. That way the two are clearly delineated and you get less of yahoos complaining about how better the older SLOs are.

Blues City Music won't be a dealer

Anybody know when the new SLO's will come out?

Sellers will try to spin them as pre BAD SLO's to garner a higher price.

DeYoung is indeed no more for the SLO.

Mike Soldano said BAD has an engineer , Peter, who has done a great job creating a transformer which he likes.

ETA for the SLO II? I would guess not sooner than summer NAMM and probably not until NAMM winter 2020. This is based on no facts but merely a worthless gut feeling.

The only amp that does have that same monstrously awesome SLO bloom at volume is a 100w Wizard, and at a level even more amazing than the Soldano. Different tone of course but maybe they'll have Mercury spec out a transformer for them? Wizards use Mercury, I'm sure they can spec a DeYoung out to do something similar.

Even if someone cloned a DeYoung, someone will say it isn't the same - only because it doesn't say DeYoung on it.

I'm happy to see Soldano hasn't ended, regardless of which transformer is used.

If you want DeYoung, the used market is there for you. If you want the improved effect loop, etc...Soldano will make a new amp to scratch that itch.

Even if BAD didn’t change a single component, people will say they don’t sound the same; people will just have to accept that the pre-BAD Soldanos will command a premium on the used market. In reality, I suspect that the BAD amps will be the same thing. It’s PCBs with orange drops and whatever transformer BAD sources. I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I had a SLO and it was magnificent, but so are Mesas and Marshall’s etc, especially when cranked up and the power amp can really show off the dynamics.

So is BAD continuing on with the whole Soldano lineup?
Definite lineup will be SuperCharger GTO pedal, HR25, HR30 (specs on TGP thread) , and SLO II. Maybe a 1x12 combo too.

Reverb-o-sonic, Avenger, Decatone, Astroverb , and Lucky 13 are history.
