Soldano SLO100

I've tried so many clones over the years, and never kept them because it just didn't do it for me. Kind of put me off the whole idea until I got an actual SLO a few years ago. My buddy and forum member MagH8 convinced me to try one. I didn't think there could be any difference in a clone and the real thing. At this point, the schematics are out there for anyone to see. It's even a newer release, so no vintage parts, but it sounds... fantastic. I don't know what voodoo he puts into them, but it isn't leaving.
 
I have to find a way to hear one in person. They look awesome!
 
OP- thank you for your personal findings on the mighty SLO. Though I never owned, nor played through the SLO, I DID own the HotRod 50+ and their slant 4x12 cab, and recorded and toured with it a number of years. It never, EVER failed one show. That was the best part, the second best was the gain channel that was derived from the SLO; and while I understand it wasn't identical, it did the job well, but I grew to highly dislike its very restricitve voicing, and sold it when I acquired my 74 JMP 50 watt. But I digress. I'd like to give the SLO a fair shake and see what it's all about. My HR50+ drove a wet/dry/wet system and I never used its effects loop.

Welcome to the forum. Maybe take a lol around and chat . But ya SLOs rule. Though I like the Avenger best
