Seems to have more grind and not sound as polite as the JJ Jr that I had. Would have stayed around if I could have gotten more of the upper mid grind out of it.

Really hard to say as I haven't had the 3534 for quite some time. This is more Marshall and modded marshall....3534 more it's own thing. Both are pretty aggressive - can't beat the form factor on the 3534. Lugging this deluxe to practice straight up sucks

I had the JEL and wanted to love it so bad. I loved every demo I heard and just struggled with it personally. I eventually landed with the BE100 Deluxe and it’s amazing. I don‘t think you can go wrong with a Friedman.

The video did state that the Sat switch was on.
And I think he was using Ownhammer's Bogner V30 IR.

I’m curious what was it that you didn’t like about the JEL? I honesty didn’t think it sounded that special in the demos I heard and would say I’d also probably prefer the BE100 Deluxe. That amp I actually played in person and probably was for me the best of the Friedman line up of what they currently have, but am still somewhat curious about the JEL since it’s one of the few amps I’ve not yet tried

From the demo I think the DRG demo was better. That was a killer clip that really shined, had a even defined tone that was to this day memorable.
