Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

Im really upset they discontinued the MW for this. I really wanted to see comparison videos and if the MW won out, I wanted to order a blackout edition. Now I won’t have a choice but to hold out on the used market.

Did they discontinue the MW? Seems like the MW and the RI are aiming for two different markets.

Quick followup. I just called sweetwater and my rep told me the MW is indeed marked to be discontinued. He warned that even if you order one now it’s a good chance that the order would continue to get pushed out until it’s automatically canceled. I asked he look into whether I can even order a new blackout edition and if so what the price is and to get back to me. Chances are small but he said he would look into it and see. He agreed that the RI would be targeting a different market so it’s odd that they would discontinue the MW for the RI with less gig friendly features at a much higher price.

I honestly feel like I build a better more badass amp than Larry.
You need a rep then. Videos, marketing, active on social media weekly. A good name. Maybe get a freebie amp or two into the hands of the right players. That's a lot of dang work. Are you sure you really want to be that guy? I expect the market for small builders to cave hard in the next few years, but I always say that.

$3,500 lmao, I remember when they were $1,000 used and nobody cared too much about revisions unless you were some hair metal nerd that needed a pre-500 serial. Must be my old age of late-30’s.

Can’t imagine what a clown show it feels like if you grew up with $500 used plexi’s, when you see what they go for now.

When will the first $10,000 rev F recto sell?

I'm not quite crusty age yet, but I remember when you could pick up a vert input 80's JCM800 for 6-700 bucks. I bought one just to learn how to recap, and moronically sold it for a "profit".

Dude. Well that's some BS.

Makes me wonder if they're going to make a Triple Rec RI or if they'll just shutter that idea completely.

Sweetwater told me as of today, they only have 2 more diamond MW in stock and only 3 more bronco MW in stock (with confirmed long wait). After those are sold, you’ll not be able to order a new MW.

I wanted to order a blackout edition and they said you can’t anymore. Those are already discontinued.

I think that when you have the knowledge and skills to build, and mod amps and to make them sound how you want them to sound it takes a lot of the lure out of wanting some of these other amps that are not obtainable. His good tone that he hears might not be your own and just because it looks nice inside doesn't mean it's going to sound better then everything out there.
